Exciting Games For Your Bridal Shower

Tired of the old truth-or-consequence games for bridal showers? Are you planning to make your bridal shower party a memorable one, with the guests grinning from ear-to-ear long after you’ve been married? Why not? Here are some fresh ideas on that bonding time with your girlfriends:

Let’s start off with some ice breakers. Prepare a sketched or pencil-drawn body of a hunk. Then look for a picture of your favorite gifted actor, (from a magazine would be good) – choose someone who you think you and your friends would like to know in your dreams. Have a body drawn in a cartolina or manila paper and cut out or scan the face photo of any movie personality you’d like. Paste it atop the sketched body.

Prepare left over fabrics or colored paper, scissors and paste. Prepare some questions on a piece of paper. Questions should be naughty to generate fun and giggles from the girls. Try this one: ‘If you will spend one night with any part of Mr. Hunk’s body exposed, what would it be?’ Or this one: ‘What is your favorite part of Mr. Hunk’s body?’

Or better yet, have them bid on any body part of Mr. Hunk using only what they wear or what they have in their bag. Highest bidder wins and gets to sign that body part. You can also opt to give a prize. A big lollipop will do. This is one good starting game when your appetizers have been served.

Now that everyone is laughing and comfortable, let’s proceed with a much more exploration of the mind. For this game, you will need to prepare bread sticks – the longer the better. Be ready with multi-colored candies, whip cream, prunes, anything that can be used to decorate the bread stick. Give each guest a piece and take photos as they create some delectable creations. The goal is to make the bread stick, Mr. Bread stick. When they are done with decorating Mr. Bread stick, (be ready with a camera), tell them that Mr. Bread stick is sad and can only be happy if the girls will eat them the sexiest way they can think of. The most ridiculous way (which will also create the most laughter) of eating the bread stick wins. Of course, be ready to be included in the raucous – after all, it is your shower party!

When everyone’s eaten and have settled down, it’s time to exchange some gifts. It is customary for friends to bring something for you to bring to your married life. In turn, you will also give them something to remind them of you in the form of your bridal showers. If you have quite a number of friends that live far away from you, the most ideal to have as your bridal shower favors are those elegant promotional pens. You can make each pen special by having each of your friends’ name engraved or imprinted on it.

By the time you give to friends their bridal shower favors, most probably, tears of joy or joyful tears will flow. You will receive hugs from everyone and everyone will grow wistful as the party nears its end. So, don’t forget to prepare tissue – lots of them.
